BABA KOVILJKA

Born in 1953 in Karin Gornji, Dalmatia (Croatia), Baba Koviljka worked as a waitress in Slovenia from the ages of 17 to 19, where her lifelong passion for food and cooking began.

She moved to Australia in 1973, building a new life while raising her family with unconditional love, warmth and pride. Now a devoted baba to six grandchildren, she continues to spoil, cherish and nurture them with the same generosity she has always shown.

Renowned for her home-style cooking, particularly her bold and spicy dishes. Her recipes reflect the resilience and traditions she has lovingly carried across generations, preserving the flavours of her homeland while creating lasting memories in Australia.
