BABA SLOBODANKA

Born in 1951 in Ohrid, Macedonia. Baba Slobodanka was just 19 when she came to Australia as an economic refugee, with no family to support her.

From the beginning, she built her life through sheer strength. Having faced multiple hardships, including being widowed early in life, she carries that toughness with her every day.

She stands her ground and protects those she loves. Yet at her core, she loves in the most powerful way, through food. Cooking is how she expresses her care, pride, comfort and connection.

From her incredible home-cooked meals to her homemade sauces, every dish tells a story. She loves fiercely, feeds endlessly and protects her family with everything she has.

She is the SAUCY Baba.
